Tableau Developer

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years hands-on business intelligence development experience, including 5+ years with analysis, design, and development of Tableau dashboards and reports
  • 5+ years of experience in writing simple to complex SQL queries (any relational database) along with SQL tuning and troubleshooting; MS SQL Server is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of existing business intelligence industry standards, technologies, and infrastructure operations
  • Understanding and experience with object-oriented programming language(s) experience with TypeScript, Python, JavaScript, and/or C# .NET, preferred
  • Driven to solve complex problems with scalable, elegant, and maintainable solutions;
  • Ability to analyze data and disseminate results, with the ability to think logically and process sequentially with a high level of detailed accuracy
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Must be self-motivated and passionate about delivering creative and value-driven reporting solutions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with competing priorities and ongoing deliverables
  • 2+ years Healthcare / Pharmaceutical related industry experience is a plus
  • 2-3 years working in an Agile environment (SCRUM or SAFe), preferred

Skills and experience:

  • Demonstratable practical knowledge of the Tableau ecosystem (Server / Client / Data Source integration)
  • Develop custom visualization and dashboard extensions in Tableau, including the use of the Tableau Extensions API library and functions
  • Must have experience in debugging and testing extensions in Tableau
  • Experience with HTML / Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
  • An aptitude for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable documentation/instructions
  • Familiarity with web-based dashboard/KPI/presentation systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in business process definition and validation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills required. Understands that the clients’ best interests are served through smooth, seamless service delivery
